I’ve grown to learn two things about myself, I am patient and will always act with integrity. Recently, I feel like discipline has been my nemesis and have been repeating the page of the comic where the bad guy gets the glory. Call me an Avenger, I’m calling out Apocalypse. The solution to my victory comes with a loss however. I have to dye to myself, daily, kill the flesh, with the shield of faith, Captain America.

With every obstacle in life, you’ve gotta kill the flesh. You want abs? You have to kill the laziness that doesn’t want to roll out of bed in the morning. You want a degree? You have to kill the flesh that makes “settling” a priority and a cap and grown fiction. Its contradiction to pair couch potato with body builder. Gotta kill that flesh.

When it comes to my walk with Christ, I have to dye to myself daily. Humbleness, grace, humility, honesty, … honestly doesn’t come easy. I regularly have to kill the parts of me that contradict those feelings … a big one called selfishness.

If you think walking with Jesus is hard, it is, dont be intimidated. The flesh will always want what this world has to offer, but you were not called to the things of this world but something greater #heaven

Before you start to think I am using another pick up line, let me hold that thought and take out a pen and rewrite the explanation of why you can make a restaurant stand still with your very presence.

Supernatural isn’t really something you can explain but I will try to use as much metaphor as I can to come close to describing the beauty you possess. When the love for Jesus is bottled up in your innermost, like soda carbonation shaken ready to explode, your outward appearance is a direct result of that beauty. Beauty that can only come from having a supernatural relationship with most high. What you see on the outside is just an overflow of what is glowing on the inside. If Jesus is the light, and He is found all through the word and the Bible says to hide His word in his heart, you are beaming like a lighthouse. It isn’t a matter of what you look like that grabs peoples attention but the presence you carry that people are drawn to.

If your reading this and struggle with outward appearance, I’d like to introduce to someone real special to me, Tanisha. Tanisha is rarely concerned with what her physical appearance looks like, but always on her game when it comes to what goes on, on the inside. She knows that when you start to focus on what you put in … it will only come out. Call it the in then out effect. Your outward beauty is just a result of the inward overdose of Gods love. You glow T.

So on this birthday lets celebrate the powerful encouragement you are to other people, how you freeze a room, only to then brag about Gods love, that when noticed you don’t draw attention to yourself but use it as a spring board to lift somebody up in prayer. YOU are incredible and as much detail as I used to describe this appearance you obtain, I barely scratched the service.

There are plenty of you out there who are beautiful, just make sure you understand where your beauty comes from.

That’s what I find so unique about today’s generation. Your a hitman in a world full of challenges that people say you cant accomplish as your target.

We are surrounded by catchy marketing slogans like “impossible is nothing” “I’m possible” and “impossible”, media markets conveying a great message to today’s young people. But young people, the media isn’t saying anything new, they are just recycling one of the greatest promises God has already laid out for your life since the beginning of time, since the universe was created, since light hit the earth, since before since; for it is written “Nothing is impossible with God” Luke 1:37.

I find it hard to believe that I cant do, obtain, gain, grow, believe, conceive, accomplish, communicate, win, have, get, learn, become something when I repeat to myself what God said about my life, especially what is said right there in Luke.

Impossibilities are like pencil marks on your child room wall, they are just meant to mark how much you have grown.

Impossibilities is a new pave way so the ones after you will know the path.

Impossibilities is an equation with you as the answer.

If impossibility were a sneaker, its just waiting for the Cinderella to fit in it, the one person made to accomplish it .

Real talk, several things lay before me, today, right now, January 29, 2012 that I could consider as impossibilities, however I choose to label them as challenges to grow my capabilities.
